The following items are optional and are not required to complete your application. However, submitting these items can enhance your application and make your submission more competitive. 

• Letter of Recommendation from High School Counselor or Teacher
• Test Scores

• First-year student's enrollment confirmation deadline for Spring admission
• Early Action admission decisions release for Fall admission

January 15:

• Regular Decision application deadline for Fall admission (Please note: applications received after this deadline will be considered on a space-available basis.)
• Final deadline for Powell Scholars Program application
• Final deadline for First-Year Honors program (Please note: applications received after this deadline will be considered until the program has reached capacity.)

February 25:

• Final deadline for Community Involvement Program (CIP) application

March 31:

• Regular Decision admission decisions released for Fall admission
• Powell Scholars program decisions release

April:

• Final deadline for #CaliforniansForAll College Corps Program application (Please note: applications received after this deadline will be considered on a space-available basis.)
• Community Involvement Program (CIP) decisions release
• First-Year Honors program decisions release

May 1: 

• First-year student's enrollment confirmation deadline for Fall admission

In addition to the online application, you must also send the following documents to be considered for admission:

• Transcripts
  • If you have less than 30 transferable units we will also need your high school transcript.
• Personal Statement (optional)
  • For any term(s) of coursework that may not reflect your true ability, we encourage you to submit a personal statement with your application to explain your situation.
• Application fee ($55)

You may also submit the following items as part of your application:

• Academic Letter of Recommendation
• Test Scores (AP/IB/CLEP, etc.)
• Conservatory applicants (except music industry) must submit an audition

Special populations

• Working Adults - If you are a working adult student, we will consider your entire body of work; however, grade trends and current semester’s worth of work will be considered in the overall admission decision.
• Military – we encourage you to submit a copy of your DD-214
