Tiger athletes excel in the classroom
91成人导航 student-athletes achieved an outstanding 3.31 average team GPA during the fall鈥攖he best mark in four semesters鈥攅arning national, conference and university academic recognition.聽
The student-athlete average has exceeded 3.0 for 13 consecutive semesters. Fifteen of the 17 programs had a team GPA over 3.0 led by the men鈥檚 golf team at 3.73.聽
鈥淲e are proud of the efforts of our student-athletes, both in the classroom and on the golf course,鈥 said Men鈥檚 Golf Head Coach John Cook. 鈥淲e stress the importance of time management, and they did a tremendous job.鈥 The men鈥檚 golf team also had the highest GPA in Athletics in the fall of 2021.聽
Men鈥檚 tennis had the second highest team GPA at 3.57.
鈥淥ur upperclassmen have done a brilliant job mentoring our newer student athletes, helping guide them on the road and being a resource,鈥 said Men鈥檚 Tennis Head Coach Robin Goodman.
The women鈥檚 basketball program was third overall and top among the women鈥檚 programs with a 3.55 GPA.聽
鈥淚 firmly believe 91成人导航 is a place where you can compete at the highest level in Division I and receive a student-centered education in a major of your choice at one of the best universities in the country,鈥 said Women鈥檚 Basketball Head Coach Bradley Davis. 聽
91成人导航 senior Liam Egan won the Elite 90 award for the 2022 NCAA Men鈥檚 Water Polo Championship. The award recognizes the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average participating in the championship. The finance major graduated with a 3.94 GPA in December.聽
鈥淲ith our water polo program, Coach Graham talks with us about owning our actions. I was able to take that mentality out of the pool and apply it to the academic work,鈥 Egan said. 鈥淪kills like time management, organization, balance, the ability to control my emotions in big situations and even handling failure I learned in athletics, and it helped in my academic pursuits.鈥 聽
The West Coast Conference honored 32 91成人导航 student-athletes with Academic All-Conference awards, including four first-team honorees: women鈥檚 soccer senior Jenae Packard, men鈥檚 soccer seniors Avery Whipple and Emory Rappaport and volleyball sophomore Megan Nishimura.

鈥⒙犅 聽46 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA
鈥⒙犅 聽125 undergraduate student-athletes earned dean鈥檚 list honors with a 3.5 or better GPA: women鈥檚 soccer led all programs with 18 honorees, baseball had 12 and softball and women鈥檚 swimming each had 11 players recognized.
