Emma Wade
Emma Wade is a Michael Chekhov Technique coach, teacher聽and director. She had the privilege to train closely for a decade under the mentorship of master acting teacher聽Lenard Petit and faculty at the Michael Chekhov Acting Studio in New York City.
Before his recent passing, Wade co-created and taught an experimental curriculum with Petit for actors internationally. This work included a deep research into archetypal聽imaginations and the utility of astonishment for the performing artist.
In 2022, Wade relocated to Linden, California, to literally live in a cherry orchard, where she and her partner took up management of the family聽farm. You can find them both farming cherries and walnuts most days at聽present. They are currently聽building a space on the farm for future theatre study, production development and performance.
Wade is delighted to connect and contribute to the Conservatory as a visiting lecturer in opera theatre in the fall of 2024.
