Square has updated its pricing plans for its Square for Retail and Square for Restaurants plans. The programs are designed for small restaurants and retail stores to allow them to accept payments and run their business. Both plans include extensive features in the free options.
Square for Restaurants includes online ordering and curbside picking up organizing delivery. You have probably seen it at coffee shops and restaurants. Hardware is not included in the plan, but you can purchase it separately if you need a P.O.S. system or use an existing iPad with the Square Stand.
Square for Retail includes most of what you need to run a retail store. The free plan includes an online store, selling on Instagram, accepting credit cards when the internet is down, and basic inventory management. Paid plans include multiple location inventory management, bar code scanning and generation, and extensive reporting on profit margins, wages, and sales.
Both plans feature integrations with common accounting and email marketing tools.
If you are opening a coffee shop, a small restaurant, or retail store, you should consider their plans in your research. Speaking of research, our website is the perfect place to start. Check out the categories below or visit our homepage.

Revenue Disclosure: We’re upfront people, so we want to be upfront with how we make money. We make money through affiliate links and ads. How do we NOT earn money? We DON’T get paid to add companies to our categories or sell email addresses. That means no one can pay us to put them on the list in any category, move them higher up the list, or change what we say about them. We want small businesses and entrepreneurs to trust us to point them in the right direction, and we’re proud of the fact that this is a guarantee you won’t see on other websites.
